When making complex changes to a wiki, I prefer Kakoune instead of a web-based editor. So I wrote mediawiki.kak which provides syntax highlighting for MediaWiki markup as used on Wikipedia and Fandom among others.
There are not many comments in the source code. Feel free to ask me anything if you want to understand it.
