A while ago, I claimed on this forum that “Kakoune is a very punk-rock editor”. At the time I didn’t really know much about punk, but the idea stuck with me and I felt it deserved further investigation. So, I spent some time reading up about punk rock on Wikipedia, listening to punk music, thinking about which parts of Kakoune resonated the most with those experiences, and then I wrote them down:
