I’ve recently made a major update to my kakoune-filetree plugin which changed pretty much everything, and only keeps the general idea.
Previously the plugin would just be a flat list of full paths, which worked OK but was not very visual or easy to navigate.
I realized I could instead use the ‘tree’ program to create the listing, and simply implement the interactivity and kakoune integration on top of it.

Super excited about this! I’ve been a long time tree user, but have yet to make the jump to an integrated file tree in kakoune. I’ll give this a spin!
