Earlier this month, Kakoune finally implemented most of readline shortcuts in the prompt:
These mappings can feel pretty foreign in comparison of the ones in normal mode, because of their emacs legacy.
I’m not really proficient while editing long commands in the shell because for whatever reason deep in my brain, I keep confusing/forgetting these keyboard shortcuts. So I often rely on this small cheat sheet. Maybe this visual recap can help you as well:
