I wonder, would it be possible to have kakoune-like editing on the fast backend of xi?

Xi community seems to love kakoune and I believe it’s would be possible use xi has a backend for kakoune ( it support multi cursor for example ). It might not be mature enough tho.

I don’t know how the division of task works in kakoune between the client and the server, and I know that Xi is still working on that. , but I could be fun to hack around. ( that’s why I started this thread

So I think monolithic architectures, perhaps ironically, are better for community. Everybody takes some responsibility for the quality of the whole.

Xi community was pretty exited to use kakoune as a front-end, sad that this wont happen
